Workplace Harassment and Discrimination

2026 is not a good time for anyone in America, especially not for those of us working jobs we do not like.

Offensive jokes and unwanted advances are the last thing you need when you already do not like where you work. Rapid changes to government, media, and the private sector have created extra stress for everyone in the system. Working to survive and create a future is hard, but we do it. Adulting is doing this without letting the negativity overtake you.

On my day off, I thought about what my past jobs have been like and how well I tolerate my current job. I am not surprised that the current political climate has worsened workplaces this year. Everyone either works with people they dislike, works for people they dislike, or both.

The amount of patience and grit required from get from day to day has skyrocketed.

Coffee and meditation work wonders, but your mindset means more. Mind over matter. Mindset matters.

A mindset of resilience and success.

Changing your mind is how you change your life. Anything that currently burdens or bothers me is temporary. I learn from it, and then I release it. Working with people has taught me how to be strong yet kind. This is a key part of how I have grown as a person.

Thinking about my work history, the discrimination was not as bad as the harassment, but it was still there. It was still silently derailing my plans and giving me additional hurdles.

And then there was some cyberstalking. Some weird activities that made me feel like making my social media pages private. Was my safety actually in jeopardy that many times? Maybe, maybe not. Better safe than sorry. A few bad apples do not have to ruin the bunch.

Previous employers who wasted my time and energy are an invaluable part of my work history 💛

I say that because they helped me learn what not to do, helped me gain discernment, and played a role in how I got good at conflict de-escalation and problem-solving.

There was a 57% increase in EEOC lawsuits between the years 2022 and 2023, thanks to people like me who spoke up and took action. While the changing political climate has made it harder for people to make positive changes, the opportunities remain open.

All in all I came away better than I went in.

In closing, I feel like I am reaching the end of an era. This year is nearly halfway over as I am writing this. Time flies when you are having fun lol. I anticipate a relaunch of my digital products and affiliate group.

Multiple streams of income have helped me survive this turbulent time in American history.

Better days ahead.
